Climate Right CR-2550 Mini is a deluxe, heavy duty, long lasting portable electric air conditioner and heater combo made for small outdoor enclosed spaces.

Measure the size of your enclosure in feet (LxWxH). Climate Right CR-2550 Mini works for 5-350 cubic feet spaces. It is a highly unique product that is perfect for heating or cooling enclosed spaces like dog or cat houses (assembly kit included), tear drop trailers, enclosed tents, small work sheds - you name it! Simply hook up the 2-hose air intake and outflow hoses into your enclosure. (Hook up kit included. Some applications may require some customization). The beauty of this unit is its low BTU power, which is a gentle and easy air flow and gradual acclimatization - not too harsh for humans or animals in a small space. It works year around. It both heats and cools. No other units can say that. Unit sits outside in the weather no problem. Low power consumption right right off your 115v wall socket, generator or Shore Power.

Installation is easy. Unit comes with Assembly Kit including everthing you need (except drill) to install your unit. Installation involves simply porting the 2 air intake and outtake hoses from the ClimateRight into your structure. For buildings and sheds, we recommend boring two holes at the bottom of one wall, connecting the hoses, and then setting your ClimateRight outside the enclosure on a level surface. If your application does not allow holes to be bored (like a tent), you still must somehow port the 2-hose stystem into your enclosure. Applications and installations may vary.

Safe and environmentally friendly with no carbon monoxide or fluorocarbon emissions. Climate Right CR-2550 Mini can be set to 62-88 degrees Fahrenheit. Results vary based on insulation of the enclosure, and ambient heat and humidity conditions. Unit designed to improve ambient air temperature conditions, but not to an exact tolerance. Climate Right is the ultimate "creature comfort".

This AC unit does wonderful for cooling small structures! I use it to cool my Tropical Carnivorous plants (Nepenthes) and so far it has done a good job. The only reason they call this a "dog house" cooler is to gain buyers because who doesn't have a dog? This makes the perfect plant AC unit and is wonderful for you orchid and Nepenthes growers out there. The unit barely consumes any energy and can be set to run certain hours that are the hottest in your area. If the outside temp is less than the inside temp during running time, then it will go into a sort of stand-by mode while still cooling. Sorry dog owners, but this is a laugh in the face if you don't grow Highland plants or have a doghouse that is completely sealed with a door. Perfect for those server rooms, too. The temp went from 80-70 degrees in 5 minutes of running on stand-by! I certainly recommend this if your cooling space is sealed. If not then its a big waste of money. (should last for years too)

The NewAir portable AC definitely works. Lots of cold air comes pouring out of this thing, but it may not be exactly what you're looking for. It's good for some things and not so good for others. Let me explain.

I have an office/media room on the top floor of my house. It's basically an attic/loft that gets pretty warm in the summer. Central air is pumped into the room, but not much air comes through the vents. My homeowner's association will not allow window AC units, so I thought this would be an excellent alternative. The unit is portable and the window exhaust vent is not noticeable from the outside. The unit looks nice and is sturdy. I like the remote control and the digital thermostat on the front of the unit. It rolls nicely on it's casters. Hooking up the hose and exhaust vent was easy. However, my expectations may have been too high.

I have always used an evaporative cooler since I live in a low-humidity environment. It works really well unless it get over 96 and this year was especially warm so we decided to get an AC for the bedroom, the warmest room. I did lots of comparing, reviewing and trying to figure out exactly what would end up being the best value. I saw this product and it was something I hoped would work.

It came quickly. The company sends you the FedEx number so you can track it and know when to expect it. After opening it, I was glad we went portable instead of window unit. It looks pretty cool and isn't too huge. The thing for the exhaust in the window looks good when viewed from outside the house. The air comes out very cool and gives instant relief. It isn't loud. The remote is nice - I didn't think we would use but we do. Not having to empty the water is a handy feature also.

I am really happy with this AC. :)

This 12,000 BTU unit works like a dream. It blows cold all day, is quiet, and given enough time, it actually cools most of my 1200 square foot house, which is far better than its rated cooling ability. Still, is is designed to be used as a room air conditioner. My only issue with it was the fact that the window kit wasn't quite large enough for my largest windows in the living room. But all it took was a call to the manufacturer, Amcor, and for $7 plus postage they sent me a second window kit to extend the first one. The result is perfect, exactly what I needed. A hard-working AC unit that can be moved from place to place if I want... or even used in my studio outbuilding. Highly versatile and extremely well made. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't have or want central air or window units. Finally, someone tagged this product as an evaporative cooler (swamp cooler) which it is NOT. It is a true air conditioner with a powerful compressor.

Our evaporative portable a/c unit offers a 38.4 pint dehumidifier that reduces unwanted moisture using our unique evaporative process, by removing moisture from the air and drips onto the condenser. Researched everything I could find (including the reviews here on Amazon.) It seemed the most consistent complaints were about the over-flowing water pan and the noise. Kinda like a baby: it pees and it howls. So I knew what I was in for.

On the water: I'm not gonna criticize the machine for working so effectively on dehumidifying that it overflows quickly (although the manual does mention once that it has a "small" back-up tank to handle the water that isn't evaporated out the exhaust hose.) My solution was this: first, I placed an old metal t.v. tray with a lip all the way around it (to catch minor leaks at the base, though there haven't been any), on top of a simple step-stool (with a broad base.) The unit sits on the t.v. tray. That elevates the base 12 inches off the ground. This gives enough height to simply plop the drain-hose into the top of a one-gallon jug (I'm using an Arizona green tea jug 'cause it's a thicker plastic and unlikely to deteriorate. Bad... I purchased 2 of these a couple weeks ago. They were shipped very quickly. They were easy to set up. The units are small but nicely built. They cool very well and are very quite. The remotes are great and the features are better than larger units. My only complaint is the evaporation system really can't handle humid conditions very well. I started it up and within 2 hours the bucket full system went off and I had to empty the unit. After it did it again in the same amount of time,I ended up elevating the unit and puting a bucket behind it so I don't have to empty it as often. This is the only drawback from a fine little unit.

I bought this product to cool a very small bedroom (<100 sq ft) whose windows I have to keep sealed because of sinus allergies and air quality concerns. It was easy to set up and does a good job of cooling without too much noise. My main disappointment was that the thermostat controls only the compressor, not the fan; I had thought that perhaps both the compressor and the fan would shut off once the desired temperature was reached, but if the unit is on in its AC mode, the fan runs continually. Second, when I turned the machine on using the "on" button on the unit, the thermostat setting showed in Fahrenheit, but once I started using the remote, it switched to Celsius, and I couldn't get it to switch back, not even by following the instructions in the manual. Finally, the fan noise, although reasonably low, is not entirely smooth, and is just irregular enough (with an undertone of rumbling) that it can interfere with falling asleep.
